Anderson-Winchell, Executive Director
Paul Anderson-Winchell joined Grace Community
Center as Executive Director in August 2005. Prior to this
appointment, he served as Licensed Nursing Home Administrator
of the Fishkill Health Center in Fishkill, New York, managing
a Certified Home Care Program, an Adult Foster Family Care
Program and a 62-bed Skilled Nursing facility.
He received
his Masters in Public Administration from Marist University
in 1997 and a Bachelors degree from Brown University.
In 2004, he received his Nursing Home Administrators
License.
Mr. Anderson-Winchells
career began in residential treatment for abused, neglected
and emotionally disturbed children. Moving to the Hudson Valley
in 1982, he began a 13-year period of working with Developmentally
Disabled Children and Adults with United Cerebral Palsy of
Ulster County, including eight years as Director of Residential
Services. Prior to this, he administered a Title XX funded
School Age Day Care Program in inner city Philadelphia.
He was the founding Executive Director of Boys and Girls Club
in Orange County, which serves at-risk children through after-school
and summer day-camp youth development programs. He has since
become Vice President of the Board of Directors and Program
Committee Chair, helping to expand its services and secure
local, state, corporate and federal grants.

Sister
Alice Conrad, RDC, Director of Administrative Services
Sister Alice Conrad's responsibilities include overseeing the Day Care, the Soup Kitchen, the Rainbow Outreach & Drop-In Center for disabled adults, volunteers and in-kind donations. She has a Masters in Elementary Education,
a B.A. in English, French and Secondary Education, and is
an accredited early childhood education instructor. She has
had 32 years of experience as an educator; 17 years as a teacher
and 15 years as an elementary and high school principal. She
has also held positions as a lower school librarian at the
Rye Country Day School and campus administrator of the Good
Counsel Complex.

Ada
Raiford, Rainbow Outreach & Drop-In Center Coordinator
Ada Raiford has been employed by Grace Church Community Center
for 18 years, and for the past seven years, as a Shift Supervisor/Senior
Client Care worker at the Open Arms men's shelter. Ada has
many years of Social Service training in substance abuse,
mental health, crisis intervention, case management documentation
and non-profit time management. As Director of our Drop-In
Center, Ada draws upon her extensive background as a volunteer
with developmentally disabled individuals.

Barbara
Bento-Fleming, Director of Housing Services
Barbara Bento-Fleming possesses both a Bachelors' Degree in
Education as well as years of experience in the field of Human
Services. During her 1921-year career, while progressively
increasing her responsibilities, she has provided direct services
to the administration of multiple government contracts. And,
through Ford Foundation funding, she served as a transitional
housing consultant to non-profit community agencies in Connecticut,
New Jersey, Michigan and Massachusetts.
Barbara has dedicated the past
11 12 years to the development of housing programs and services
for special-needs populations. These have included the working
poor, homeless individuals and families, recovering substance
abusers, chronically mentally ill ex-offenders, pregnant and
parenting teenagers and people living with HIV/AIDS.

Lesma
Howard-Zepeda, Director of Neighbors Home Health Care
Lesma Howard Zepeda joined GCCC in 1986 as Assistant Director
before becoming Director of the Neighbors Program. Drawing
upon her long record of experience in the fields of health
care and management, Lesma has been instrumental in making
the Neighbors Program what it is today. Under her leadership,
the program became licensed by the NYS Department of Health,
assumed a more aggressive role as advocate for the elderly
and applied for Medicaid approval. Prior to her work at the
Neighbors Program, she was Director of GCCC's Daily Bread
and Soup Kitchen programs. Additionally, Lesma has acted as
Executive Director of the Center on two separate occasions.

Tasha Pine, Day Care Coordinator
Tasha Pine, the new Day Care Coordinator, has a BA in Liberal Studies and seven years of experience in preschool to high school education. Most recently, Ms. Pine held the position of Preschool Assistant Supervisor at the YWCA of Southern Westchester. She was also head teacher in the toddler room at Children’s Village in Dobbs Ferry.

John
Rubin MSW, Director Open Arms & Samaritan House
John Rubin has had 16 years of experience working with substance
abusers and the mentally ill. He currently supervises operations
at the 38 bed Open Arms mens shelter since 2003 as well
as the 19 bed Samaritan House womens shelter. Formerly,
Rubin was the director of a 107 bed residential substance
abuse treatment program and its aftercare component. He implemented
and supervised a Ryan White funded program for mentally ill
substance abusing individuals suffering from AIDS at Elmhurst
Hospital. In addition, he served as a program supervisor at
ARCS (AIDS Related Community Services).

Maggie
Serrano, Soup Kitchen Coordinator
Maggie Serrano has been the program coordinator and cook at
the GCCC Soup Kitchen since 2002. She coordinates and accepts
inventory for the Soup Kitchen and is available to receive
or pick up contributions of food.

Eileen
Torres, Director of Summer Day Camp and Mentoring Programs
Eileen Torres is a Certified Social Worker (CSW) who has practiced
in the Yonkers School System for the past eight 10 years.
She has coached basketball and softball in the Yonkers and
Mamaroneck (NY) school systems for the past six years. Presently,
she volunteers in a mentoring program at the White Plains
Presbyterian Church, which helps families of homeless children
and is active in Special Olympics. Eileen has been Director
of the Summer Day Camp program since 1992.
